CARTOON MONDAY! PASTOR OBSESSED WITH COMPLAINTS?

08 Oct

“The problem with the church today is not corruption. It is not institutionalism. No, the problem is far more serious than something like the minister running away with the organist. The problem is pettiness. Blatant pettiness.” (Mike Yaconelli, The Wittenburg Door)

Questions:

1.  Why are complaints sometimes so discouraging?

2.  What is the biblical opposite of complaining?

Mike Yaconelli has a point, but in terms of seriousness he does not come close to the problem of relevancy. All today’s churches have their mindset geared to the middle ages where superstition was not even recognized as superstition.
