Psalm 14

For the director of music. Of David.Screen Shot 2015-01-18 at 7.31.45 AM

The fool[a] says in his heart,
    “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
    there is no one who does good.

The Lord looks down from heaven
    on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,
    any who seek God.
All have turned away, all have become corrupt;
    there is no one who does good,
    not even one.

Do all these evildoers know nothing?

They devour my people as though eating bread;
    they never call on the Lord.
But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
    for God is present in the company of the righteous.
You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor,
    but the Lord is their refuge.

Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
    When the Lord restores his people,
    let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

    Larry: I read all your posts, but seldom respond. I appreciate them and you and your ministry.

    To the question at hand, it is hard to understand the atheists recent “evangelism” apart from the fact that they are running scared. They are desperately trying to convince themselves that there is no God, something for which they have no proof and against the testimony of nature and the person of Jesus Christ. If they were really secure in their belief, they wouldn’t devote such effort to it. Why should they be concerned about people who want to believe in “fairy tales.” I don’t believe in intelligent life on other planets, but it’s hardly something I want to spend my life trying to disprove no matter what other people may think.

    Tom: Thank you for your comment — and for being a faithful reader! You make a very valid point. Why should they be so hot and bothered what we believe? Blessings. Larry
