Narcissistic Bird! (Time for a Great Photograph)
My daughter Amy has a great photographer’s eye! She took this picture on the beach at Hilton Head Island a couple of days ago. This white egret was not camera shy. I think he was saying, “Wait! Take one more picture! This is my better side!”
After saving for years, my wife and I now own a three-bedroom, two-bath condo on Hilton Head Island! This is where this picture was taken.
We try to keep our rental fees reasonable, so if you’re wanting to vacation on the beautiful island of Hilton Head, check out our condo on VRBO (our listing number is: 1536128). (And contact us directly to rent less expensively).
The Beauty of a Butterfly (a very short video)
I told you it was short! We watched this butterfly for several minutes as he came and went back to this flower. Beautiful creature. I wonder if in the New Heavens and the New Earth we’ll have them eating out of our hands? Just a thought.
Nature as Our Mother? (Stunning photography)
True, the visuals are stunning. But as G.K. Chesterton once wrote, “The main point of Christianity was this: that Nature is not our mother: Nature is our sister. We can be proud of her beauty, since we have the same father; but she has no authority over us; we have to admire, but not to imitate. This gives to the typically Christian pleasure in this earth a strange touch of lightness that is almost frivolity.” (Orthodoxy ). Nature, too, is fallen (as C.S. Lewis adds) and Scripture teaches that nature itself groans for the New Heavens and the New Earth (Romans 8). (Click on the following for a great article on “Mother Nature” by Gary L. Welton):
Time for a Great Commercial — Nature Against Man!
Okay. This one’s just genius! I’ve always believed that squirrels are not innocent, cute little creatures.
